Who are we?
Woodland Sauna is located in Wooster, Ohio. Grandpa installed a sauna in his home in 1994 and it is still going strong today. This is how our love for sauna began. We handcraft our barrel saunas with Western Red Cedar. This wood provides the rich cedar smell that comes to mind when you think sauna. We have since added a variety of premium sauna, steam, and bath products to our company. We have dealers located across the USA providing our products in their areas. We now supply Barrel Saunas, Cube Saunas, Infrared Saunas, Cold Plunges, Outdoor Showers, Custom Built in-home Saunas, and more. We also carry the best sauna heaters available today. How do we differ from other sauna builders? Our sauna will arrive at your house fully built, rather than a DIY building kit as is the norm in today’s market. We offer more than just the sauna. We can provide you with a deck or a platform to properly stage your new backyard additon. We carry all the necessary accessories such as lighting and aroma. Are you looking for a custom built sauna to meet your specific needs? We can help. We build and stage backyard areas for Airbnb owners throughout the lower 48 states. Contact us or visit one of our dealer locations to learn more.
The Process of Building a Sauna
We source our Western Red Cedar from the Pacific Northwest. Western Red Cedar is known to be aromatic and rot-resistant. The wood of fallen western red cedar trees remains sound for more than 100 years because of its resistance to decay and insect damage.
After being harvested, our cedar makes its way east via rail.
We then transport the lumber to Gerber Lumber & Hardware in Kidron, Ohio. They have been in business since 1901. After being planed and routed according to our specifications the cedar is transported to our manufacturing facility approximately 1.5 miles from Gerber’s.
Our manufacturing facility is located just outside of Kidron, Ohio. We are family owned and operated. Our barrel saunas are individually handcrafted from start to finish. All custom sauna projects are developed at our facility.
